Having successfully welcomed our first two refugee families into Richmond in November 2016, we're still looking for more self-contained rental properties – anywhere in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames – for people who are being helped by the UNHCR because of the war in Syria.

Rents are paid at Local Housing Allowance rates. See Richmond Council’s website for exact amounts depending on where in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames the property is, and how many bedrooms it has.

Eligible families are carefully chosen by the UN in conjunction with the Home Office and Richmond Council, and Richmond Council co-ordinates all of the resettlement logistics. People housed under this scheme are supported by Richmond Council to ensure tenancies are maintained well.

Assured Shorthold Tenancies are used and tenancies are usually agreed for three years.

Here is a pdf of our property search flyer.
